Welcome to our August Newsletter. In this issue, we have news of our Indaba; news of the Visby Residency; a call for works in various categories; news from our members; performance news of an event in South African as well as the usual reminder of opportunities.
As always, do let me know of any newsworthy items, for the next issue, that would help you to publicise your events in or after September. Likewise, if you hear of any composers’ or performers’ opportunities, just send an email to me at email@example.com.
NewMusicSA Indaba 2017
Due to unforeseen circumstances, dates and venue for this event have had to be changed. We will now be holding a short Indaba in Pretoria from 10 to 12 November. The venue for 10 and 12 (Friday and Sunday) will be the Tauromenium and on Saturday 11 at the home of Douglas Scott. (Please note that events on 10 November have still to be confirmed). We will send out full programme details nearer the time but, in the meantime, we ask that anyone who can be there during these dates please diarise them as we would like to see as many of you there as possible. This is NMSA’s main event of the year!
